Steel castings are generally used in machines with extremely high requirements for toughness, plasticity and strength. Steel castings are second only to cast iron in China, accounting for about 15% of the total output. For ZG15, carbon casting steel generally prefers the characteristics of ZG15 with high melting point and poor casting performance, and is only used for the manufacture of motors and carburized parts. The pouring performance is better than that of medium carbon steel, but the plasticity and toughness are poor, and it is used to make a small number of wear-resistant parts.
Alloy cast steel is generally divided into high-alloy steel and low-alloy steel gold steel, which are distinguished according to the total amount of alloying elements. The wear resistance of high-alloy cast steel is very good, so it acts on the parts of food, chemical and other equipment. Moreover, the two low alloy steels have good strength, so they are often used in the manufacture of important stressed parts such as high-strength gears and high-strength shafts.
